Mix Up A Boring Run Routine With A Speed Workout

Mix Up A Boring Run Routine With A Speed Workout

There are lots of ways to mix up a boring old run routine to make it a little more interesting. If you’re looking for another option, running coach John Honerkamp shares his “18-minute speed workout” with The Greatist.

This run’s good for any fitness level, and is essentially an interval workout with a build-up to make it a little less intimidating. Basically, each running interval increases by one minute each cycle, then winds back down. You can add or remove sections to make it a little easier or harder on yourself as well. If you’re feeling like your daily runs are a bit dull, this should spice it up a little. Head over to The Greatist for the full workout.
