Get Lollipop’s Incoming Call Banner On KitKat And Earlier Versions Of Android

Android: Lollipop’s new incoming call banner slides in from the top of the screen when you get a call, instead of kicking the current app to the background. You can get it now, even without Lollipop.

L-Call, developed by XDA developer safet.me, shows your incoming calls Lollipop-style without interrupting what you’re doing on an open application. The WonderHowTo video above shows you how to set it up. You can choose whether the banner only displays when you’re in an app, in which case you’ll get the old call launcher from the Home Screen, or display the banner at all times.

L-Call has been confirmed for a few devices, and we’ve tried it on the 2014 Moto X with no issues. Download the APK for free from XDA to check it out. You can also grab it from the Google Play Store to support the developer.
