Compose Gmail Message Lets You Send Email Without Seeing Your Inbox

Mac: Everyone knows what it’s like to open Gmail to send an email, and before you get know it, you’ve spent a half-hour on a dozen unread messages. Worse, you’ve forgotten to send the one you originally meant to. This Automator script helps you stay focused.

Once enabled, the script opens up a Gmail compose window in your browser every time you use it. This way you can compose your message and never even see your inbox. Unlike most similar tools,, the window automatically closes after you send the email.

Merlin Mann created the script specifically to give himself an easy way to launch a compose window without even looking at or being distracted by what else is in his inbox, and it works well. Check it out at the link below.
