Manage Your Energy Instead Of Your Tasks

Manage Your Energy Instead Of Your Tasks

We’ve probably all got a to-do list to keep us productive and on task. To mix things up a bit, try focusing on the energy you need to do the task instead of the outcome.

Penelope Trunk suggests a different way of viewing your day and splitting up tasks. Looking at how much energy a task needs is a great way to organise your day:

Engaged time/Unengaged time: People actually don’t mind working long hours when they are engaged. Burnout is not a result of how much work you’re doing but what type of work you’re doing. So instead of organising time into work time and personal time, you could organise it into time when you like what you’re doing and time when you don’t like what you’re doing.

Check out the link for other ways of mixing up your day and still getting stuff done.
