Wayfare Shows You The World By Connecting You With People Far Away

Android/iOS: Travelling is a great way to expand your horizons and learn about the world beyond your doorstep, but you can’t travel all the time. Wayfare, a new mobile app, wants to help you explore far off places by connecting you with the people that live there. Here’s how it works.

Think of Wayfare as both a teaching tool and a penpal finder. Both you and the person you connect with will have the opportunity to learn about each others’ cultures and home cities and countries through regular photo missions and quick notes to one another. If you and your virtual pen pal don’t speak the same language, that’s fine too — the app has a built-in translation tool.

Wayfare is free, and a fun little way to learn something about a far-off place. The service has over 10,000 people to connect with in over 110 countries (with most being in the US, Japan, UK, Korea, and Germany, in that order.) Hit the link below to try it out.
