Epiphany Is A Fast, Modern Browser For The Raspberry Pi

The Raspberry Pi is a great for a lot of things, but browsing the web was never one of them. Epiphany is a browser built for the Pi that does just about everything a modern browser can do.

All things considered, Epiphany is pretty speedy. It can handle HTML5, JavaScript and video decoding. It’s a little sluggish with JavaScript-heavy sites, but otherwise it’s a perfectly good browser for Raspbian. You’ll get Epiphany rolled into new versions of Raspbian and NOOBS, but you can download the new browser right now. Just type this into the command line:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

sudo apt-get install epiphany-browser
