Wrap Whisks With Rubber Bands To Save Space And Avoid Bent Wires

Whisks are one of the most difficult kitchen items to store. Many of us keep them in drawers until we need them, but the wide wires can get caught and stuck, making drawers catch or damaging the whisk. The solution? A simple rubber band.

Stupidly simple and completely effective, this tip comes from the folks at The Kitchn, who note that wrapping a rubber band loosely around the wires of the whisk will compress it enough to store it without it taking up a lot of drawer space, and keeps the wires from getting snagged under the lip of your drawers when you open them, or bent when you close them.

Of course, you could always store your whisks upright in a container on the counter if you prefer, but if clear countertop space is at a premium, this is a clever solution.
