Make A Motion-Triggered Night Light For Under The Bed

If you’re tired of bumping into things when you get out of bed in the middle of the night, this DIY project may be for you. LEDs mounted under the bed turn on when you get up or approach the bed, but only if the room is dark.

Instructables user VeryEvilBetty details this project, which requires the LED strips, a light sensor and an arduino controller. Code is included so you can make your own automatic nightlight under the bed.

The LEDs should give you enough light to see you out the room, but if you want even more late-night lighting, you could instead illuminate a walkway out to your bathroom.
