If you’re heading somewhere very crowded, and you’d rather not lose your children there, highly visible clothing colours might help. Hint Mama contributor Karen Witham used neon yellow-green shirts for her kids — hideous, she says, but still useful in crowded areas.

You might also wear the same colour for the whole family so your kids can easily find you if you get separated. It might look silly, but it’s at least better than those kid leashes.

This isn’t a mind-blowing or new tip (after all, it’s the strategy that schools and camps use on outings), but it’s a good reminder that colour-coding your kids works.
