Andrognito Hides Files You’d Like To Keep Away From Prying Eyes

Android: We all have files on our phones that we’d rather others didn’t see for one reason or another. Andrognito protects your privacy by hiding files of your choice, even if your device is not rooted.

Andrognito (Android, Incognito…get it?) is available in Google Play at the link below, and the first time you run the app you will be prompted to create a username and PIN. This will be used to protect and hide your files. There’s a built-in file browser, which you can use to navigate to the files you want to conceal on your phone — just select some files and then tap the padlock button.

Andrognito is similar to File Hide Expert, which we have looked at before, but it takes things slightly further — and there are no in-app purchases.

The app will encrypt the selected files so they cannot be accessed from outside of Andrognito, and they can only be accessed from within the app once the correct PIN has been entered. It’s likely that some of the files you want to hide are files you need access to as well. To help with this, Andrognito includes a bookmarking feature much like a web browser so frequently used files are never far away.
