iPhone: Spotlight is pretty handy on iOS, but it’s not perfect. It’s also not that customisable if you want to add your own services. Searchr is a tool that allows you to do both.
At a glance, Searchr makes it so you can easily search through stuff on your phone, just like Spotlight. That said, you can also add a lot of custom search locations, including Fantastical, IMDb, Waze, Spotify and Evernote. Once you do that, you can also set up actions so that you can instantly search for something, then do an action such as “Post to Facebook”, “Send an Email” or “Start a new list in Clear”.
Essentially, it’s kind of a combination of the lighter features of Launch Center Pro and Spotlight. You can check out and play around with a free version with ads, or pay a $3.49 to get rid of them.
