iOS: You have alcohol, you have a stocked kitchen, so what cocktails can you make? Mixtura is a free iPhone app that gives you a list of drinks based on the ingredients you already have.
The app is easy on the eyes and easy to use. You first go through a list of ingredients (alcohol, fruits, mixers, pantry items and more) marked “need it”; tap any that you have to move them to the “got it” column. When you’re done, Mixtura shows what cocktails you can make with those ingredients you have. It also shows what you can’t make, noting how many of the needed ingredients you already have. Tap any cocktail to get the recipe.
Mixtura is a free download with a bunch of recipes already added, but you pay $2.49 to add 30 more popular cocktails or $1.29 for 10 Margarita recipes.
If you’re looking for an equivalent with food, then Cookmate does the job.
