Icebergs Organizes Your Files, Notes And Web Clippings

Icebergs is a web app that lets you clip text, images or entire pages from the web, upload and save files, and make and organise notes. If you’re the visual type, and you like your organisational tools to come with thumbnails and beautiful interfaces, it’s worth a look.

Icebergs isn’t about to bump a service like Evernote off the block anytime soon, but it reminds us of a combination of Pinterest and the now-defunct Springpad, with the features that make all three of those tools great. The clipping tool is a simple browser extension that lets you drag and drop specific items on a web page, clip text or save the whole page to your profile.

You can create different Icebergs for different projects or needs, and everything you add is displayed with a large thumbnail so you can refer to it quickly. All of your projects are listed in the left sidebar, and you can drag and drop them to organise them.

The video above is actually a solid demo of the tool’s features. it’s definitely angled at people who need visual cues in their organisational tools, or who find simple lists and text boxes uninspiring. Selecting and organising multiple items is easy too, and you can tag, star or edit your projects easily.

Icebergs is geared towards teams and people who want to collaborate, so while it’s free for individual users (500MB Storage, 2 Icebergs and unlimited collaborators), you’re looking at a monthly subscription fee if you want more space for more projects and files. You can check out the pricing here. The free account should suit most people just fine. Hit the link below to read more or get started.
