Fly Simplifies Stitching And Editing iPhone Videos

iOS: If you frequently shoot videos on your iPhone, you should download Fly. This new video editor app makes it easy to stitch together up to four videos, add music or voiceovers, and even cool effects like picture-in-picture.

The free version of Fly lets you either shoot new videos or pick old ones from your gallery, up to four at a time. These four videos are laid out in a grid below the preview. Tap any video and that’s what your edited video will play; tap again to stitch a new video after the first one, or even midway through it. You can mute any videos or add voiceovers too.

With in-app purchases, you can unlock features like music, picture-in-picture, dissolve transitions and split screen. Get them all with the $7.49 pro pack, or pay $3.79 for individual packs.

The simplicity of Fly’s video editing is the best part, making it an app almost anyone can use effectively. One problem is that Fly works only with widescreen/landscape videos. So if you’ve held your phone vertically to shoot footage, the app will automatically crop it to fit into a widescreen mode.
