Everyone should have a party trick they can pull out of the bag, and bar tricks serve dual-purposes. As well as keeping your friends entertained, they can also pay for your refreshments. Coins, notes and beer bottles feature heavily as tools of the trade.
Challenge your drinking buddies to suspend a bottle between three others bottles using nothing more than three knives, and you’re likely to get a series of blank stares.
All it takes is the correct placement of the three base bottles and some careful interlocking of cutlery to create a surprisingly stable platform on which to balance the final bottle. When you know the trick, it’s actually very simple — but this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to make a little money out of it.
