Audiomack Is A Streaming Music Hub For Artists And Fans

We’ve discussed a number of Soundcloud alternatives for both music lovers and artists in the wake of their deals with major labels. Audiomack is a relatively new service offering music lovers a place to listen and artists a place to they can host songs and mixes without fear their music will vanish suddenly.

Audiomack’s selection is almost entirely on hip-hop and electronic music at the moment, so if you’re not a fan of either genre, you may find little to listen to. However, what’s there is great, and there are a ton of resources for both music lovers and artists on the site. Artists can upload their own songs and tracks, build a profile that has music for visitors to listen to, and more. Artists can also build playlists to share. Right now, there are no limits on the number of songs you can upload or their time limits, and it’s completely free.

Listeners can check out featured artists and featured playlists from artists on the home page, or just click a song and start playing. You can follow an artist or DJ you like, keep track of their uploads and activity and more. The front page updates regularly with trending music that listeners enjoy, new music that’s been recently uploaded to the site, and popular artists and albums.

It’s not perfect of course. You can’t download or buy music through Audiomack (not yet anyway), and the player on the bottom of the page doesn’t persist while you browse (which means the song stops if you leave a page), but the devs note that they’re working hard on adding new features and building the service out — custom playlists and an Audiomack mobile app are on the way soon.
