Arianna Huffington’s Three Tips For Better Mental Focus

Arianna Huffington’s Three Tips For Better Mental Focus

We all want to have better focus to help with our productivity. Huffington Post founder and editor-in-chief Arianna Huffington recommends more sleep, some meditation, and a gadget-free bedroom.

Huffington talked with weblog Big Think about our addiction to devices, stress and burnout. She also shared a few easy tips that can help with your own brain maintenance:

  1. Add 30 minutes of sleep to your normal sleep schedule. Skip that extra episode of your favourite show and get some shuteye.
  2. Take five minutes and meditate. This will help keep you from attaching yourself to thoughts. If you don’t know where to start, we can show you.
  3. Keep your bedroom gadget-free. Huffington only allows non-work related books in her room. You’ll sleep better without the distractions and constant access to work-related things.

Give your brain time to rejuvenate away from the screens and stress from work. Sleep will come easier and your brain will feel sharper, ready to take on the next day.
