Ratehacker: June’s Best Credit Card, Bank And Home Loan Deals

Credit Cards

Feature: 0 per cent balance transfer

NAB Premium Card: 0 per cent per annum for 15 months on balance transfers. NAB just made a series of changes to it’s range of cards this month, one being the release of a long term 0 per cent balance transfer offer on the NAB Premium. Offer available until 31 July 2014.

Feature: 0 per cent purchases

Westpac 55 Day Credit Card: 0 per cent per annum for 12 months on purchases. Benefit also from a $0 annual fee for the life of the card if you apply online by 31st July 2014. (A lot of the banks have started offering 0 per cent per annum on purchases, so it’s worth checking out the latest comparison)

Feature: No annual fee with rewards

American Express Qantas Discovery Card: No annual fee, 7500 bonus Qantas Points. If you spend a minimum of $300 on the card you are eligible to receive 7500 bonus Qantas points. For every eligible purchase on the card you will receive 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent.

Home Loans

Feature: Variable rate

Loans.com.au Dream Home Loan – <80 per cent LVR: 4.56 per cent comparison rate. Consistently one of the lowest interest rate variable products in market. Available for new purchases or refinancing. Includes an option to repay principal and interest or interest only.

Feature: Discounted interest rate

RAMS Discount Home Loan: 4.65 per cent for 12 months. This loan offers a 1.2 per cent per annum discount off the RAMS Standard Variable Rate then a 0.9 per cent per annum for the remaining life of the loan.

Feature: Fixed rate home loan

PMG Fixed Rate Home Loan: 4.75 per cent comparison rate. Offers a fixed rate for 2, 3 or 5 years. Benefit from no monthly or annual fees.

Savings Accounts

Feature: Introductory variable rate

ME Bank Online Savings Account: 4.60 per cent per annum for 5 months. Benefit from a bonus 1.70 per cent per annum for 5 months when you open an Online Savings Account with ME Bank and link it to an ME Bank EveryDay Transaction Account.

Feature: High Base Interest Rate

RaboDirect Notice Saver 90: 3.90 per cent per annum. By giving advance notice of when you plan to withdraw your money you will benefit from a high interest rate on your savings. Receive a rate of 3.90 per cent per annum when you provide 90 days notice for amounts up to $250,000.

Feature: Bonus/Incentive Savings Account

St.George Incentive Saver Account: 3.90 per cent per annum. There is no minimum monthly balance required to receive this interest rate. To receive this rate you must make at least one deposit without any withdrawals in the calendar month.

Transaction Accounts

Feature: No foreign transaction fees

Citibank Plus Transaction Account: Fee free bank account, no foreign transaction fees. Benefit also from no ATM withdrawal fees at Citibank, Westpac, St.George BankSA and Bank of Melbourne ATMS in Australia. If you dine at Citibank Dining Program Restaurants, receive a complimentary bottle of wine.

Feature: Cashback on purchases

ING Orange Everyday: Receive up to 5 per cent cashback on contactless payment. If you open an account by 30 June 2014, you can receive cashback on payWave purchases under $100 for 6 months.

Feature: No ATM Fees

Bankwest Zero Transaction Account: No ATM Fees at Bankwest, CBA, Westpac, NAB and ANZ branded ATMs. As well as not incurring ATM fees with Bankwest, CBA, NAB and Westpac, when you deposit at least $2000 per month you will benefit from no monthly account fees.

Personal Loans

Feature: Low interest debt consolidation

Citibank ReadyCredit: 5.9 per cent for 24 months. Borrow up to $60,000. No monthly or annual fees or early payout fees. To receive the special rate of 5.9 per cent per annum for 2 years, nominate your existing credit card and loan balances during the online application.

Feature: New car loan

NRMA Car Loan: 7.68 per cent comparison rate. Loan amounts from $5000 to $80,000 for a loan term of 1 to 7 years.

Feature: Unsecured personal loan

Society One Unsecured Personal Loan: 9.80 per cent comparison rate. Loan amounts from $5000 to $30,000 for loan terms of 1 to 3 years. No application fee or on-going fees.

Life Insurance
