Dayboard Uses Chrome’s New Tab Page To Keep You Focused On Your To-Dos

Chrome: Dayboard is a Chrome extension that turns every new tab page into a minimal to-do list that keeps you focused on the most important things on your agenda for the day. You choose the five most important things on your to-do list, and Dayboard makes sure they’re front and centre.

There are plenty of tools to supercharge Chrome’s new tab page, and some are so powerful they’re productivity tools of their own. Dayboard takes a more minimal, focused approach. Each day, you’ll want to add the five most important things you want to accomplish — the ones that you’ll feel good about finishing that day. From there, that’s what you see with every new tab. If you prefer, you can toggle “focus mode”, which only shows you one to-do at a time.

The creator of Dayboard explained in a Reddit post that he created Dayboard because he noticed most of his distractions happened when he was switching tasks — opening new tabs, going to a different website and so on. If that sounds familiar, hopefully Dayboard will keep your mind on the things you need to accomplish every time you open a new Chrome tab and get tempted to head to YouTube or Facebook.
