Use Location-Based Reminders To Seek Out New Restaurants

Having trouble thinking of new places to eat when you’re out and about? Serenity Caldwell of Macworld recommends using location-based reminders for pinging yourself a list of restaurants you’ve been meaning to try.

Caldwell keeps a “Places to Eat” list in her reminders and categorises certain restaurants for specific locations around town. You can do the same through location-based reminders, like those in Apple’s Reminders app or Google Now.

Whenever you enter an area that you selected on the map, you’ll get hit with your pre-made list of places you’ve been meaning to try, but haven’t gotten around to yet. If you find you run into the same meal dilemma at a very specific time each day, you can also set that list to go off at a certain time and remind yourself right before dinner that there’s still a lot of good food out there.
