Gmail For Android Gets Drive Integration, A Better Sidebar And More

Gmail got a small update on Android today, adding a “Save to Drive” button, spam improvements and a few interface changes. The sidebar also now includes access to the Settings menu.

The Save to Drive button is great for saving attachments that you don’t want on your phone’s storage and know you’ll want later on another device. The new update also contains explanations for why a certain message ended up in your spam folder and improved right-to-left text support.

The slide-out sidebar has also been improved: now you can swipe from the left edge to access your accounts from any page in the app.

The new features should be rolling out “over the next few days,” according to Google, so if you don’t see the update yet, check back later.
