  • Skype has announced that group video calling will now be completely free of charge. The free version is compatible with Windows, Mac and Xbox One with mobile and other platforms reportedly on the way.

  • Apple has refreshed its MacBook Air notebook lineup and reduced pricing slightly on some models. That makes some of the new designs a better deal, and there’s no evidence of a major Australia tax. For instance, the 11in 256GB SSD model is now priced at $1299, down from $1349.
