Mac: Securing your files isn’t always a simple process. Hider is an app that makes the process of hiding away and encrypting files quick and easy.
Encrypting files with a free tool like TrueCrypt is relatively straight forward, but Hider 2 makes the process even more painless. Once you create a vault, you only need to drag the files you want to hide them and you’re all done.
Hider 2 copies the files over into its own space, encrypts them, and ensures nobody can search for them in Spotlight. You have to delete the files after you copy them over, but the process is straightforward enough. Once you’re all done, you can only access those files with Hider 2 and a password, so nobody should be able to easily snoop in on them. It’s a fast process and if you don’t want to mess with encrypting and hiding files on your own, Hider 2 is one of the easiest options.
