Fix Those Annoying Chrome Font Rendering Problems With A Single Setting

Chrome beta: Google’s browser is great most of the time, but occasionally you’ll come across this weird problem where text looks gross and broken. As of Chrome beta 35, you can fix this with a single flag.

Navigate to chrome://flags in your browser and search for “DirectWrite”. Enable this setting and restart your browser. While this feature hasn’t rolled out to the stable channel yet, it’s only a matter of time. In the interim, those of us with the beta (as well as dev and canary) builds can finally enjoy fonts that look the way they were intended to.
