Install A Rental-Friendly Removable Kitchen Backsplash

Install A Rental-Friendly Removable Kitchen Backsplash

Living in a rental apartment or home usually means you can’t make changes without the approval of your landlord. This temporary kitchen backsplash is rental-friendly, simple to install, and easy to remove when you move out.

Apartment Therapy shared this design, and the beauty of the approach is how easy it is. All you really need to make this work is a set of vinyl tile decals that you can pattern along the back of your kitchen wall. In this case, they were custom designed, but you can find them affordably online or at craft stores. You’ll need a sharp craft knife or box cutter to cut the tiles to perfectly match the seams and edges of your kitchen walls.

Aside from being easy to apply, vinyl wall decals are non-adhesive, easy to remove without damaging the wall, and they will stay up there as long as you want to leave them. They’re even heat-resistant, so they won’t bubble or warp if your oven puts out a lot of heat while you cook. Hit the link below for a step-by-step guide for the project.
