Oil stains on your clothes are a fact of life when you’re cooking. Act fast and they won’t stay on. Food52 offers a quick trick to remove them with common kitchen ingredients.

The trick? Sprinkle powder (flour, bicarb soda or baby powder all work) on the stain, let it absorb the grease, remove it, apply some dishwashing liquid and then wash in warm water.
