Make A Mind Map To Keep On Top Of Everything In Your Life

Mind maps are wonderful tools for organising information and boosting creativity. GTD guru David Allen says that he now maps out his “world” because his lists of projects and actions alone didn’t keep him as much on top of everything as he needed.

The map gives him a broad view of everything that he should be considering:

The map includes significant events coming toward me, key strategic projects, emerging interest areas, and links to maps of my different horizons. In a way it’s double-entering (because they’re all in some form on other lists), but it’s a more meta- and weighted-look at key stuff.

Allen says the map helps discover what could be nagging at you and help you review what you need to do to “relieve that pressure”.

Like David Allen, you might need a map ofyour world [GTD Times]
