Keep Your Drinks Afloat With A Pool Noodle Barge

Keep Your Drinks Afloat With A Pool Noodle Barge

Summer is in full swing, and nothing beats relaxing at the pool with a few cold drinks. If you want to keep them close at hand while you swim, a pool noodle can provide sufficient buoyancy for an awesome beer-holding boat.

Instructables user macgeek shares his plans for a blown-up version of the previously-mentioned beverage barge. All you need is a pool noodle cut to fit the four sides of a plastic storage container, and some string to hold it in place around the edge. The resulting boat will hold more than enough drinks and ice to last until you’re wrinkled, and should be wide and low enough that it won’t capsize if it’s caught in the wake of a cannonball. Be sure to check out the Instructable for more photos.
