Bake An Apple Pie In An Apple For Impressive Individual Servings

Bake An Apple Pie In An Apple For Impressive Individual Servings

Here’s a clever twist on the traditional apple pie: Bake pie filling directly in a hollowed-out apple. You only need five ingredients and about an hour to make these tasty treats.

The photo above, from I Love Gardens, explains the process. Cut the top of the apple and carefully scoop out the insides with a spoon. Add the apple pieces you scooped out plus sugar and cinnamon, then top with strips of pie crust and bake in a pan.

Seems like a clever way to turn apples into individual pies — great for parties, but also for packing in a lunchbox.
