Turn Your Old T-Shirts Into Wall Art

Turn Your Old T-Shirts Into Wall Art

If you have an old T-shirt that you love but no longer wear, you can continue to appreciate it by turning it into wall art. While some places sell kits, it’s easy to do this popular project yourself. Here’s how.

All you really need for this is a 30cm x 30cm piece of canvas, a pair of scissors and a staple gun. You’ll have to make sure you’re comfortable never wearing the shirt again before you get started, since you’ll have to cut the arms off and staple the shirt to the canvas. Once you’re sure, cut the arms off with the scissors, then fold the shirt taut against the canvas with the art or design that you want visible right over the canvas. Pull the sides taut around the back, and staple the shirt into the canvas board on the back. Trim away any excess cloth, and you’re all finished.

It’s a great way to build a wall display of your old concert or band T-shirts. Hit the link below for a few more photos of the process.
