Build A Simple Time-Lapse Camera With A Raspberry Pi And A Coffee Tin

Time-lapse photography is one of those cool but rarely needed photography tricks. However, Instructables user fotosyn shows off how to build a cheap, automated, time-lapse system using a Raspberry Pi, a camera module and a coffee tin.

The system here is actually pretty simple. The Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi camera are powered by batteries and then stuffed into a water-tight coffee tin. Then, a program runs that takes pictures at a set interval. Once you run it for as long as you want, simply piece together those images into a video and you’re all set. Head over to Instructables for the full guide to make this for yourself.
