There’s a lot to love about tea. It can give you a boost, it’s available in different varieties, and it’s easy to make — for the most part anyway. This graphic makes sure you never over-steep, use water that’s too hot or cold, and even tells you how much caffeine you’ll get from a perfectly brewed cup.
Depending on whether you want your tea hot or iced and the type of tea you’re preparing, you’ll use different amounts of tea per cup, different water temperatures and steep for different periods. If you’re really serious about your tea, you take the water temperature after boiling and let it come down to an appropriate level, then you pour. If you don’t have time for that, at least you can make an educated guess about how you should steep for whatever temperature you have.
The other great thing about the graphic is that it shows you how much caffeine you’ll get (compared to a cup of coffee) for each type of tea, going up of course from white tea to something like black tea (20 per cent of a cup).
If you drink tea, here is a simple, easy to read chart on brewing. [Life Made Simple (Tumblr)]
