Sometimes the showstopper of a workspace is the desk; sometimes it’s the technology, or the view, or the decor. In today’s featured workspace, the showstopper is a nook perfect for quick afternoon naps.
This home office was designed by Aleck Wilson Architects in San Francisco. The raised platform takes advantage of the room’s high ceilings for an out-of-the-way lounging area. Otherwise, the office fits in with the rest of the home’s simple and clean decor. If you too, have high ceilings, you might think about using that space for a similar elevated nap space, which could help you stay productive and creative (as long as you nap for the right amount of time). Or you could stick your desk under a lofted bed.
