Windows: There are no shortage of apps that can synchronise files between computers, but PathSync allows more control between local and distant machines as well as between different folders on the same machine.
The app will compare two different locations and transfer files between them based on rules you set. You can use it to just see the differences between the two folders’ contents in addition to syncing them. PathSync is particularly helpful if you have multiple hard drives and want to create a local backup in case one drive fails.

Dunno what website you went to. I clicked the link above, then Products, and under Open Source Tools click Pathsync, then click on the latest version to download. Not one ad.
I’ve used Microsoft’s SyncToy for quite a number of years: solid and reliable.
