Enable The Hidden ‘Keep Both’ Button When Copying Files In OS X

When you drag files into a folder, OS X looks for files with the same name and asks you if you want to replace them or skip those files. If you want to keep all the files though — old and new — this lesser-known shortcut will help.

Once the dialog pops up and asks you whether you want to Skip, Stop or Replace, hold down the Option key, and the Skip button will turn into a “Keep Both” button, allowing you to keep both the original and newer file. It’s just one of the many things that awesome Option key can do.
