Briefly: Vodafone Expands Regionally, LinkedIn App Job Applications

Brief news items of note for Lifehacker readers, including expansion for Vodafone in regional areas, LinkedIn allowing job applications from within its apps, and which car Australians are buying.

  • Vodafone has switched on 1200 new regional towers, which it claims increases its overall coverage by 40 per cent. Gizmodo has the list of areas with expanded coverage, though as usual you need to hit the coverage map to check if your house is no longer a dead zone.
  • LinkedIn has updated its mobile apps to allow applications for jobs directly within the apps. The update is being rolled out gradually to English-speaking LinkedIn users.
  • Australia’s best-selling car is . . . Toyota Corolla. No, we’re not kidding.
