Gmail Calling Is Back, Now Part Of Google Hangouts

Google has restored its Gmail calling feature and added it to Hangouts, allowing users to call phones for free right from their computer.

You can now call any US or Canadian phone number for free from any country where Hangouts calling is available. You’ll make your call in a Hangouts window similar to the one you get when you have a video chat, and you can add other voice or video calls to the mix.

To make a call, just click the phone icon in Gmail’s Hangouts sidebar or the “Call a Phone” menu item in Google+ or Hangouts for Chrome. The feature starts rolling out today, but if you don’t see it, check back in the next couple of days and it should pop up. Hit the link below to read more from Google.
