Facebook Panda Replaces Bing Maps With Google Maps On Facebook

Chrome/Firefox: Google’s map software is a crowd favourite nearly everywhere online. Well, everywhere except Facebook. If you have a preference for Google’s services, Facebook Panda can get your maps back.

Well, it will get them back in most places. There are still a couple of spots on Facebook where Bing maps will appear. However, in our tests, we found that check-ins, event locations and thumbnails, like the one above, all featured the Google maps version instead of the default Bing.

This is particularly important for anyone utilising Google Now. When you’re logged in to your Google account, addresses you look up or search for in any tab may be deemed relevant. Google won’t be able to tell if your Facebook event addresses are of interest to you with Bing, but this add-on may help improve the service for you.
