Android: EasilyDo, the proactive personal assistant, launched for iOS a few months ago. Now the app is available for Android, and features the same proactive reminders and tools, from reminding you to make dinner reservations to suggesting you get flowers on the way home for your anniversary.
EasilyDo’s biggest benefit is that the app tries to notify you well in advance of when you need to do something so you’re never late and you can fit it into a reasonable time. For example, the app will notice you have a conference call scheduled, remind you, and then offer to dial into the call for you. It will alert you at the beginning of the day to major daily events such as birthdays and anniversaries, and help you wish your friends on Facebook a happy birthday so you don’t forget to do it. The app even scans your contacts for you, and can delete or merge duplicates. The more services you connect EasilyDo with, the more useful it is, but if you’re worried about your privacy, you can disconnect at any time, or only enable the features you’re comfortable using.
Some of EasilyDo’s features overlap a bit with other personal assistants on Android and Google Now, such as the ability to get driving directions to your next appointment before you leave, but even so the app is worth a look.
