Briefly: Excel Keyboard Shortcuts Survey, AWS Trusted Advisor Free

Brief news items of note for Lifehacker readers, including plans for new keyboard shortcuts in the Excel Web app and a free trial for AWS Trusted Advisor.

  • We’re big fans of keyboard shortcuts here at Lifehacker, but this is an unusual approach to adding them: Microsoft is conducting a survey of users to ask which functions in the Web version of Excel should get keyboard shortcuts added. We’d suggest absolutely everything, but we appreciate that might not be realistic.
  • Amazon is offering a limited free trial of its Trusted Advisor analytics service for new customers. Throughout March, any AWS customer can use the Advisor to identify performance and security issues.
  • Streaming provider Quickflix says it wants to offer shows within hours of their original overseas broadcast. We won’t argue with that.
