Virtual Router Plus Turns Your Windows 8 PC Into A Wi-Fi Hotspot

Windows: If you need to share your computer’s internet connection with the Wi-Fi only devices in your house — say, if you don’t have a Wi-Fi router — Virtual Router Plus will turn your computer into a Wi-Fi hotspot.

We’ve showed you how to do this with Windows 7 before, but the option seems to be missing in Windows 8. The feature is still there, but you need to perform a bit of command line work to start it up.

Virtual Router Plus is a simple, free download that makes it easy. Just download the program, start it up (no installation required), and choose the network you want to share. Give your Wi-Fi network a name and a password, and start it up! You should be able to connect to that wireless network from your other devices with no problem.
