Automate Everything In Your Home Using Siri And A Raspberry Pi


We’ve shared quite a few DIY tips for automating your home, but YouTube user Elvis Impersonator takes it a step further, controlling everything in his house with the help of Siri and a Raspberry Pi.

Elvis Impersonator’s tricks all revolve around SiriProxy, a tool we have talked about once before — but he’s got loads of plugins for it:

  • Open the garage door
  • Enable or disable the security alarm
  • Adjust the thermostat
  • View the security cameras around his house
  • Turn off, turn on, or dim the lights
  • Change the channel on the TV, or turn it off
