Skitch For Mac Updates With Timed Screen Snaps And Customisation Options

Mac: Screen-grabbing tool Skitch has been updated with several new features, including a timed screenshot (a feature that was removed with the last update), custom styles and more sharing features. The timed screen snap gives you a five-second countdown before the area is captured. You can use the shortcut CTRL + CMD + Shift + 5 to trigger this very useful feature.

For annotating your screenshots, Skitch now lets you use a custom colour, and there are two more sizes for your shapes and text. Finally, there are more sharing choices. Now when you want to share and copy the screenshot URL, you can do it as a direct image URL, HTML, HTML thumbnails or forum code — useful if you share your screen grabs often. There are even more new options under Skitch preferences, such as YURL shortening and automatically copying Skitch links to your clipboard right after you make a new screenshot.

The update is available now directly from Evernote via the link below. If you got Skitch from the Mac App Store, though, you’ll need to wait a little bit for the update to roll out.
