Microwave Popcorn In A Bowl And Plate To Reduce Unpopped Kernels

We’ve shown you how to microwave popcorn using a brown paper bag, but it’s hard to get all the kernels to pop no matter which way you do it. Household blog One Good Thing recommends making popcorn in a bowl covered with a plate so that you can easily run unpopped kernels through the microwave again.

The key here is to make sure both the bowl and plate are microwave safe. Try adding one-quarter cup of popcorn kernels for two minutes and 45 seconds. I like this method because you can buy cheap bulk popcorn, you can precisely control the amount of salt and oil you add, and it results in very few unpopped kernels.
