FoodSwitch Adds Option For Reducing Your Salt Intake

iOS: FoodSwitch’s ability to scan Australian supermarket products and alert you to healthier alternatives has made it a popular choice ever since its launch in back in January. A new update to the app incorporates the ability to specifically search for lower-salt products — useful if you’re trying to reduce your salt intake.

Salt content has always been tracked by FoodSwitch, but the new SaltSwitch option makes that the main focus, basing its recommendations on finding lower-salt products. That’s particularly helpful for people with high blood pressure. The update has rolled out for both the iOS and Android versions. It’s a free download.
