Facebook’s Nearby Feature Discovers New Places Close To You

iOS/Android: Facebook has updated its mobile apps to include a new feature called Nearby. With one tap from the options menu, you can discover new places of interest based on your current location.

Currently, the feature allows you to check out what’s near you, get more information on a place of interest and share that location with a friend. Facebook plans to add more as it continues to develop Nearby, but it currently offers another quick way to find restaurants, shops and other places on your smartphone.
