Snack Like A Nutritionist To Beat Hunger And Stay Healthy

We’ve talked to a number of nutritionists about how you can boost the nutritional value of your meals and learn to love the food you eat, but sometimes it helps to do as they do, not just do what they say. It turns out that many nutritionists have some pretty tasty and healthy snacks in their lunchboxes.

The Huffington Post asked a number of nutritionists what they ate when they got the munchies, and while some of the responses were pretty strange (avocado-kale smoothies?) some of their other suggestions were portable, tasty and good for you. One of my favourites that made the list was dried, roasted seaweed — which you can get at any Asian supermarket in convenient snack packs that are only about 30-50 calories a serving, and that serving is enough to beat back those hunger pangs.

Other nutritionists suggested a half of an avocado when you’re looking for something fatty and flavourful, or munching on a hard-boiled egg to get some protein when you’re feeling hungry. Another suggested an apple with some almond butter. Whatever you eat, moderation is key, and some of these suggestions are filling enough to hit the spot and help you stick to your healthy eating plans.
