Facebook Cheat Sheet Highlights The Best Keyboard Shortcuts

Save time (while wasting time) on Facebook with handy keyboard shortcuts for quickly getting around the social networking site, finding conversations and composing messages. This Facebook Cheat Sheet offers up all the shortcuts plus a guide to emoticons.

Most of the basic shortcuts use Alt+ a number, as we’ve noted previously. Other shortcuts that we haven’t seen before include Alt+Q to show or hide the keyboard shortcuts available and Alt+C to start a new message.

Note that the shortcuts work differently in specific browsers and OSes. As My Clever Agency instructs us, use these combinations:

Windows

Firefox: Shift + Alt + #

Chrome: Alt + #

Mac

Firefox : Control + #

Chrome: Control + Option + #

Safari: Control + Option + #

My favourite shortcut that’s not on here is the “L” shortcut to like a photo in a post.
