Control Mood Lights Over Wi-Fi With This Hack

RGB LED lights are a great way to accent your home, but colour control usually has to be done from the light itself. If you want to control those colours over Wi-Fi, OpenPicus has put together a guide using its Flyport Wi-Fi microcontroller.

The process itself requires a little soldering knowledge and a set of IKEA light strips with the FlyPort Wi-Fi. After the system is built, you install a pre-made web server, and you’re good to go. It looks a little complicated to get going, but once it’s done, you can set your mood lighting from nearly anywhere in the house.
