Use An Old Gift Card To Keep A Bit Of Duct Tape With You At All Times

Duct tape is one of the most useful DIY tools on the planet, but it isn’t the most portable item. Redditor fkinglag shares a clever way to keep a bit of duct tape with you at all times: wrapped around an old gift card.

You’ve probably seen people walking around with duct tape around their water bottles, and it isn’t because their water bottles are broken — that’s an old trick for keeping a few feet of duct tape nearby. Redditor Saphiric notes that there’s a similar trick which doesn’t require a bottle:

Wrap a few feet of duct tape around an old credit card and put it in your wallet. You’ll always have some if you need it.

It might add a bit more thickness to your wallet, but it will come in handy if you need to improve your posture or remove a stuck light bulb. Check out our celebration of duct tape for more clever uses, and hit the link to read more about the gift card trick on Reddit.
